Mindful of Flowers

Today my mindfulness exercise was to focus on my garden and observe the new blooms. I often sit and draw  flowers, leaves and even tree trunks. I had just planted some pansies, also called heartease. I read that some people believe that pansies enhance clairvoyance and heals grief. I love pansies simply because they are so unique. So I tried focusing on the pansies for about ten minutes. I don’t think I am now clairvoyant but the experience was calming. I am now working on a mandala with the center being a pansy.
